Rules for Students

1. Registration:

a) New student can take a placement test, consult an advisor to be able to study in the most appropriate class.

b) At registry, students fill in the Student Information Form and hand in a portrait photo (2x3 cm) for obtaining a Student Card.

c) Students will take the placement test on the date and time announced by CFS. Late arrival for the placement test without prior notice will not be accepted.

2. Class changing:

a) Students must study in the class registrated.

b) In the first week of the course, students can change class if they find their current class unsuitable for their level. Class changing must be approved by the Head of the Annex and suit CFS’s class opening plan.

c) Class changing for students who have taken the placement Test is not accepted.

3. Tuition fee:

a) Refunding

- Tuition fee will be refunded in case NLU-CFS cannot arrange a satisfactory class for student in the first week of the course.

- Tuition will not be refunded in case the student has asked for detainment or wants to move to a class which is not yet open, or in case the student has lost the receipt.

b) Detainment:

- NLU-CFS will only approve student detainment before or during the course in the cases of serious illness or emergencies (accompanied by doctor’s letter or authorized agencies)

- The maximum detaining time is 1 course, and CFS only approve student detainment request made within the first 2 weeks of the course.

c) Special offers:

- Student can get reduction of tuition fee for certain courses at certain Annexes at times.

- Different rates of tuition fee reduction is applied at different stages of the course (For detailed information, please visit the Admission Office)
